Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Barabanki was established in July 1996 in civil sector. It was established upto class X and got permission to start XI Science in Year 2009-10.Now it is running upto Class 1 to 12 with single section . The Vidyalaya initially was started in Vikas Bhawan a rented building ,later on it was shifted to Lakhpedabagh Barabanki in its own building.

The Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, Which is under the Ministry of Human Resources.The school has a total number of 12 classes. The strength of the school is 558 students.
The school has excellent physical infrastructure, library, staff room, resource room.The school has three science labs, namely physics lab,biology lab,chemistry lab and one well equipped Computer lab. Vidyalaya building is equipped with modern gadgets/ infrastructural facilities necessary for facilitating teaching and learning process.T

Kendriya Vidyalaya primarily caters to the educational need of the children of Central Govt. Employee, including Defence Personnel liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, they have a common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The aim of Kendriya Vidyalayas is to provide education according to the Principles of the New Education Policy, to bring out the best and noblest qualities in children, to infuse in its students a feeling of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration so as to make them good and loyal citizens, the nation builders of tomorrow in the real sense.
