Kendriya Vidyalaya Barabanki was established in July 1996. The building of vidyalaya was A-O type.The vidyalaya was established upto class x but the permission was sanctioned to the vidyalaya to open class XI-Science in 2009-2010. The Vidyalaya got permission to start XI-Science in Year 2009-2010 Now it is running upto class xiith with science stream. The vidyalaya initially was started in VikasBhawan a rented building but later on it was shifted to Lakhperabagh Barabanki in its own building.

Kendriya vidyalaya Barabanki was established in July 1996 in civil sector. The school has a total number of 12 classes. The strength of the school is 523 students.
The school has three science labs, namely, one physics lab,one biology lab,one chemistry lab and one well equipped Computer Science lab. The Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, Which is under the Ministry of Human Resources.

Kendriya Vidyalaya primarily caters to the educational need of the children of Central Govt. Employee, including Defence Personnel liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, they have a common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The aim of Kendriya Vidyalayas is to provide education according to the Principles of the New Education Policy, to bring out the best and noblest qualities in children, to infuse in its students a feeling of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration so as to make them good and loyal citizens, the nation builders of tomorrow in the real sense.
